In order to achieve a correct diagnosis, you must be fully aware of how to distinguish electrode malposition that will be reflected improperly on the ECG with changes in the axis and the R wave progression. Knowing the normal waves and axis on the ECG is will always lead you to notice any abnormalities concerning lead malposition mistakenly applied on the patient body. Also, you will learn how to distinguish the presence of artifacts on the ECG differentiating them from abnormal waves.
